What are UTM Tags

UTM tags (Urchin Tracking Module) are a type of URL tag used in digital marketing to track the effectiveness of online marketing campaigns. They are used by analytics programs to track the performance of campaigns in terms of clicks, impressions, and conversions. UTM tags are used to differentiate between marketing campaigns, as they allow marketers to track the effectiveness of each campaign and to provide more accurate insights into their overall performance.

UTM tags mainly consist of three components: source, medium and campaign name.

When a user clicks on a link with a UTM tag, the tag is sent to ARCx Analytics, which records it. This allows you to track the performance of a particular campaign, such as the number of clicks, impressions, and conversions. They can also use the data to analyze the effectiveness of different campaigns, as well as optimize future campaigns for better performance.
